Week 4 (23 - 29 Sep 2013)

This is Week 4!!

Having our internship with AMECO provided us the opportunity to get one step closer to the aviation industry. Through these 4 weeks of learning here, we have gained many important skills and knowledge from the professional instructors here. Not only did we get a better understanding of aircraft, we also learned more about the local culture. We also went  Beijing Airshow 2013!!

During the weekends~
Leaving work aside, it’s time for us to get some fun!! :D

Week 3 (16 - 22 Sep 2013)

Week 3! Lessons just gets more and more interesting! We were given the opportunity to visit the four bay hanger in the airport terminal to learn more about B737. Special passes had to be made before entering some of the airport areas. During this visit, we saw both the exterior and the interior of the plane. On top of that we even entered the cockpit of the aircraft. How amazing is that! That's an experience that none of us can forget.

(Note: We are not allowed to take pictures of the hangar and apron area due to security reasons)

During the weekend, we climbed The Great Wall of China (a great time indeed)! It was the most tiring (jelly legs!) yet best experience ever, I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Week 2 (9 - 15 Sep 2013)

For the next five weeks, the students will be learning more about the Boeing B737-300 and Airbus A320 aircraft and its various systems such as the flight deck instruments, structures, electrical power, power plant and landing gear.

Each week, the student leaders will provide us with an update of what they had learnt in AMECO and the weekend of cultural and leisure activities. To begin, Matin has written an interesting account of what the students had experience in Week 2.
__________

The proud and happy boys and girls of SP were able to see their dreams come true; to be up close with planes like Boeing 747, 737 and the majestic Airbus A380. Aside from that, some of the boys were able to get their hands dirty with landing gear practices. Now that leaves them with many bragging rights and experience to bring back home to their friends and family.

Lastly, we ended Week 2 with a bang. We visited Happy Valley, a popular theme park in China. Pictures for a heads up at our experience with it. :)

Raring to go ... nice pic!
